Rohm and Haas announced an off-list price increase for acrylic copolymer emulsions, solution polymers, styrene -containing polymers and additives sold to the coatings, graphic arts, paper and textile industries in North America. The increase, which ranges from 5 percent to 8 percent, per wet pound, went into effect Jan. 1, or as contracts allow. The new off-list prices will not exceed list prices, which remain unchanged, according to the company.
The increase is needed to cover higher energy, raw material and freight costs, as well as continuing cost pressures related to health insurance, security and regulatory compliance, according to the company.
