Millennium Chemicals Announces Price Increase for TiO2 Products

Millennium Chemicals announced price increases on the sale of all titanium dioxide products sold to all end-use market applications in all world areas. Effective March 1, Millennium will increase TiO2 prices by $0.05 per pound in the U.S.; CAN $0.10 per pound in Canada; 150 Euros per metric ton in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; USD $100 per metric ton in Asia/Pacific and Latin America; AUS $150 per metric ton in Australia; and USD $50 in Brazil. The increases were announced to begin to restore margins, which have become unacceptably poor after more than a year of rapid and excessive decreases in all world areas, according to the company.
