David B. Flint Elected Chairman of Flint Ink Board

The Flint Ink Corporation board of directors elected David B. Flint to the position of chairman of the board until the closing of the merger between Flint Ink and XSYS Print Solutions, which is expected to be finalized at the end of September. Mr. Flint, who is executive vice president of the corporation, succeeds his brother, H. Howard Flint, II, who passed away unexpectedly in June. He is the fifth member of the Flint family to head the board of directors since the family-owned company was founded in 1920.     

Mr. Flint joined the corporation full-time as a sales representative in 1967. He was elected to the board of directors in 1970. In 1976, he was named vice president and assumed the position of executive vice president in 1982. In 2002, Mr. Flint was awarded the Printing Ink Pioneer Award by the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers for his numerous contributions to the industry.
