The use of Foamex 843 results in fast and complete foam knock-down, preventing micro- and macro-foam, with good compatibility and excellent long-term persistence, according to the company. Foamex 843 is compatible with a variety of water-based resin systems, including acrylic emulsions, styrene acrylic emulsions, polyurethane dispersions and hybrid resins. Based on innovative defoamer technology, Foamex 843 is a formulation of polyether siloxanes and organic polymers containing fumed silica. Sartomer has recently introduced CN820 energy curable adhesion promoting oligomer, which can be used in ink, adhesive and coating formulations to promote adhesion on a wide variety of substrates. New Cryogenic Cover
Union Process has introduced a new cryogenic cover for its 1-S Lab Attritor to facilitate easier flow of liquid nitrogen into the grinding chamber. This special cover fits both the 1.5 and 2.5-gallon models of the 1-S Laboratory Attritor. For cryogenic grinding, Union Process uses a stainless steel tank with a stainless steel jacket. For customers who already own a 1-S but now have a need for cryogenic grinding, the special cover and tanks can be retrofitted onto any existing 1-S Attritor.
